Kia ora, and warm greetings from Kākāriki house.

For those new to the school, my name is Ethan Smith, and I am the dean for Kākāriki house. This is my fourth year at Linwood College, and I am passionate about helping our young people experience educational success. I am very privileged to work with an awesome team of kaiārahi, who your child will get to know through Ako class. We also have two great house prefects in Kākāriki this year, with those being Caleb Alexandrov and Jessica Canton-Schimanski. It has been a very busy start to 2020, with lots of new students welcomed into our school and students beginning new academic courses. So far this year we have already had Tabloid Sports, which Kākāriki managed to place 3rd. This was a great warm-up for all the first places I am sure we will achieve throughout the year. I am really excited for 2020, and I am looking forward to working with the many Kākāriki whānau.
