When three groups of Chinese students visited LCO in Term 3, 24 students volunteered their time to be buddies to our visitors. They attended welcome and farewell ceremonies with their buddies, gave them a tour of the campus, met them at the English Language Learning Department every morning, took them to classes and made sure they were back at the ELL Department at the end of the day. 

An exit survey done by the Chinese students showed that the support from the LCO buddies and the new friendships that were formed contributed greatly to the successful student exchange programmes. Our volunteers were treated to a pizza lunch to show our thanks and appreciation. Well done - this is what 'service', one of our LCO values is all about.
