Kia Ora Lochiel School Whānau
It is hard to believe that as I write this newsletter there are only three days left of school for the 2022 year. I would like to thank you all for your support with our school this year, in particular helping us with events.
Last Friday we celebrated our students achievements at the Lochiel School Prizegiving. Huge congratulations to the recipients of all our awards. It was wonderful to have so many families in attendance at this event celebrating with us.
The pupils had their transition visit to their 2022 class on Wednesday and we are very thankful to have a full lineup of staff to start the year with.
Yesterday, we farewelled our Year 8 students at their graduation. It was fantastic to listen to our students speeches and reflect on their highlights of being at Lochiel School.
Mrs Jackson is leaving us at the end of this term. I would like to thank her so much for teaching our new entrants and giving them the very best start to their learning. All the best for your new venture. We will miss you and your great sense of humour.
I wish all our families, students and staff a wonderful Christmas break and look forward to seeing you all in the New Year rested and ready for another amazing year of learning.
Ngā mihinui,
Mary Miller
Lochiel School Principal
