Grant McNaughton and George Sabonadiere were first and second respectively in the Otago Race Unity Speech final.

Reva Grills also spoke powerfully in the regional final. Grant was selected to represent the region at the national final in Auckland in April.  Year 11 George's second placing was impressive given that most contestants were in Year 13.   Dunedin's TV Channel 39 interviewed Grant about his speaking success as well as his selection to attend an International Science Symposium in the UK in July.  You can see the interview in the video gallery below.
