Ava Straw wins national French speaking competition again!

Congratulations to multi-linguist Ava Straw (Year 13), speaker of  French, Mandarin Chinese, Italian and  English of course who has again won the national Alliance Française Concours French Speaking competition. Ava has won this regionally in years 11, 12 and 13, and gone on to win the two senior national competitions offered in years 12 and 13. This is an impressive achievement!  Ava accepted the national competition prize of a trip to New Caledonia at the end of 2015 and had an amazing time there immersing herself in French language and culture.

Ava speaks French, Mandarin, Italian and English.  She is a student we are very proud of, not only for her incredible passion for languages and many achievements but also for her personal qualities. She is generous in sharing her knowledge and helping others, she is modest about her abilities and this makes her a wonderful friend and classmate.
