Top Athlete visits PE class

Danielle Frost —

A group of keen Javelin throwers in Mrs Frost's Year 11 Physical Education class were visited by a top National Athlete, Tori Peeters.

Students were given a coaching session on how to improve their own Javelin performance. This was a fantastic opportunity which they all benefited from greatly, as seen in the improvement students had in such a short time frame.

Tori Peeters is a talented NZ Athlete who has amazing credentials to her name, including a Personal Best of 55.73m in Javelin, currently placed in top 10 in the Women's World rankings (2017), and the Otago Junior Sports Person of the Year (2015). We really appreciated the opportunity provided to our students.
