Omimi has enjoyed a year with a number of house activities and Athletics Day.

We aimed for a dominant yellow presence at athletics day and our students did not disappoint. Costumes, face paint, banners and a gloriously loud chant were features of our day. We put up a good fight and after leading for much of the day, in the end came in a strong second place overall.

During the year we ran inter group competitions which kept the Omimi spirit alive - our weekly ‘Stuff’ quiz was our Term 2 competition but we enjoyed it so much it ran for the remainder of the year. In Term 3 we had a group photo competition which was taken out by 2/8 who produced a fantastic Netflix themed photo.

Our final event was a group Tug of War competition which was won by the inimitable 2/4. This event was so popular it grew to become a whole school competition with each house putting forward their best group. 2/4 narrowly lost the final but we are all looking forward to redemption next year!
