Each week, a good twenty-to-thirty students from different walks of life endure a Monday Theatresports club under a power-hungry leader, principal Keith Johnstone.
The disparate group includes rebel Moe Stebbings, princess Trent Hawthorne, outcast Quinn Hardie, brainy Tyler Proctor and Alice Houston-Page, the jock. Each has a chance to improvise their story, making the others see them a little differently -- and when the day ends, they win the 2018 Regional Theatresports competition and question whether Christchurch will ever be the same.
Over the year, the younger disciples grew in knowledge and in size. I must say, I’m very proud of them - they now carry the comprehensive, foundational wisdom of Theatresports (covering the basics of accepting offers, progressing the story and keeping the audience entertained). Now? They will never be able to escape the Logan Park High School Theatresports club.
