Paul Enright was invited to speak at an International Conference in Sweden in Term One.

Paul is the Head of Humanities and was invited to present at the Conference on Human Rights, Peace and Sustainability in Education.  Paul is a leading light on educational and historical research in New Zealand and his paper was titled "Putting the Curriculum into Practice."

Scholars from around the world focused on Global Citizenship Education with the ideals of human rights, peace and sustainability highlighted. Paul has been instrumental in developing Logan Park's innovative curriculum which was recently applauded by the Education Review Office. The conference looked at how students are educated to "become" global citizens. Mr Enright will continue to be involved in this international project. 

According to Mr Enright: "The on-going opportunity to work with leading researchers and scholars in exploring the opportunities to develop students' critical thinking skills and knowledge in these globally vital areas is exciting and energizing. These issues are present at the core of the New Zealand and  Logan Park Curriculum and the project provides a rare opportunity to gather and analyse student responses and explore the data in an international context, critiqued by a multi-national expert group."
