Girls Football

Frankie Vella and Mae Rose Wills —

Girls Football has gone from strength to strength. Last year Jim O'Malley started us on a journey to grow and develop girls football.

We are very appreciative of his time and input. At the start of the season we had enough girls wanting to play to form two teams. Logan Park Black went on to win the girls Div 2 something we have not come close to doing in the past.

Logan Park Maroon struggled for numbers later in the season but the development work done allowed us to merge into one team and finish on a high. Next year we will select a 1st XI and play in the Premier League for the first time in many years.

Big thank you to Sandy Gorman who will continue next year. We farewell and thank Jim O'Malley for the work he did to support girls football. Farewell to our Yr 13's. Well done girls. -   Ms Vella

Logan Park Black Girls Football

Girls football this year was an absolute blast. I can’t believe the amount of effort our players put in during the season.

To me, most of our games felt like easy wins, but only because of the incredible standard my teammates were playing at.

Our coach Sandy was definitely tribute to that. 10/10 Sandy G, thank you for your unyielding energy this season. We definitely deserved to win Div 2 and I can’t wait to play with this team again next season. You girls are all champions. -  Mae Rose Wills
