Year 11 International Hospitality students ran a very successful Market Stall on Thursday 19th June at interval.

Students had spent the previous month surveying Logan Park students about the types of foods they would like to purchase from a “Sweets” stall and selected and trialled a mix of New Zealand and international recipes.

They calculated costs, selling prices and how much of each item to make, and requested permission to run the stall from the manager of the school canteen and the Principal, Ms Johnston.

Students also designed a promotional poster to put up around the school and in the daily notices. Student support for the stall was excellent, as many items sold out, the most popular were the brownies and lemon cake — resulting in a profit of approximately $85.00.
