On a chilly spring day two Logan Park teams headed out for a day of adventure racing. There were 20 teams from around Otago/Southland. Teams compete in three events earning points in each event to gain a total that will have them named as regional winners.

Our first event, Mountain biking at the base of Signal Hill. Spirits were high as we had the home advantage. With new school bikes both teams competed strongly. After 50mins of going strong both teams headed off to Forester Park for the Orienteering event. 

 Logan Park 1 had a secret weapon in Odin Hyink who is the current junior boys orienteering champion for Otago. Odin shared his knowledge with both teams. Logan Park 1 set off at a fast pace. They gained the highest possible points in that event. 

 Our last event was in Macandrew Bay. The weather had settled to our advantage. Kayaking in pairs is fun and team mates cheered each other on as they paddled hard out to compete in as many circuits as possible in their Kayak. 

We again did well. Everyone was tired at the end of the day but excited to compete again next year.
