Logan Park students competed and took first place in the 2014 South Island Secondary Schools Sunburst Regatta.

Photos were taken on a blustery and cold Tuesday when Edan Feint and Fraser Braid were well on their way to blitzing the field and winning the non-spinnaker division of the South Island Secondary Schools Sunburst Regatta on the Otago Harbour.

There were about ten crews competing in this division but they also finished well ahead of several of the crews racing with spinnakers.

The regatta commenced on Otago Anniversary Monday and all competitive racing was completed on Thursday. Edan and Fraser’s boat was borrowed from Port Chalmers Yacht Club which makes the win even more spectacular as they were not familiar with this particular vessel before the racing.
