Gigatown Success for Dunedin

Kristan Mouat —

A number of our school community have been very involved in Dunedin's successful Gigatown bid.

Joe McQuillan, Louis Grace, and international students Daniel Ullrich and Malte Hornstein, helped galvanise thousands of young people to sign up and support Dunedin.

Ex-student and current senior Photography tutor Liam Bigelow developed two websites to enable people to tweet more efficiently. An impressive 285,000 tweets were sent in the last ten days of the competition. Liam is currently studying Computer Science and Design at the University of Otago.

Our Deputy Principal, Peter Hills is Chairperson of the Trust overseeing the Gigatown project.
