Head Boy Report
The past 5 years have been truly amazing at Logan Park!! I knew from that first step I took into the school that it was going to be something else. I have had so many amazing opportunities and experiences that I’ll never forget. Logan Park has opened my eyes and allowed me to express who I am.
Wow guys, I really don’t know what to say but she’s been a hell of a ride. I was thinking about what I could say and I had all these ideas floating round in the old nog but when it comes down to it, I want to talk about y’all, my experiences with everyone, how you have made the last 5 years so damn enjoyable, how we’ve made some amazing memories and insane friendships.
Because of everyone here I have memories that I will now carry for the rest of my life I can’t thank you enough. When I look back and think of the memories and moments that have meant the most to me, they were the moments where nothing else matters and are full of pure happiness.
For me a lot of these moments came during sports and the ones that jump out at me the most always has an inter house edge. I remember in my year 11 it was the dying moments of a very tense inter house dodgeball final and I was on the court when Omimi just got over the edge and a year 13 Max Riddle in my group who I hardly knew just gave me a massive hug. When the Omimi juniors won an extra time netball final and the gym just went nuts, or the time where the interhouse futsal final was tied up on the buzzer. The fun or it might sound kinda dumb on my behalf, to run every single running event at athletics day in a blow up dino suit or the pure happiness running down the pitch just after I took a wicket to celebrate with my good mate Matthew.
A lot of my memories have also been with my amazing friends, the ones that I love the most are just the most simple but amazing moments that I will cherish with all my heart. From cooking snags at house day right up till tonight there have been some truly amazing moments, from amazing P.E trips where we got to experience some spectacular views and beautiful sunsets and sunrises at the top of a mountain, to the time where it just turned spring and we decided to go for a swim in the harbour. Formal where we just let loose and had a good time or the times where we just kicked a footy round. The times where we jammed out to a beautiful rendition of thinking out loud, having a good laugh and joke around or sharing an up & go together. I will hold all of these so close to my heart.
I want to say thank you to the year 13’s. Man I love you guys. We’ve all had our ups and downs, our joys and our heartbreaks. Our triumphs and our losses, I’m so amazed but not surprised of how strong everyone is. It’s been a true ride but I couldn’t think of a better group of people to do it with. I can’t wait to see what the future brings and I know whatever it is everyone will face it head on and with a full heart cause that’s who you are. I’m going to miss our time together but hey Dr Seuss puts it best “don’t cry because it's over, smile because it happened”
And that’s a wrap.
