Logan Park Computer Club

Oscar Mcnoe —

The Logan Park Computer Club has a lot in common with Bob Ross’s “The Joy of Painting”. What we lack in painting we make up in joy. But our joy stems not from painting, but a more pure art form.

The manipulation of 1’s and 0’s, to bend them to our will and to understand their use in our everyday lives, is an admirable goal and one which the Logan Park Computer Club has boldly taken on.

The club started in 2015, initiated by Year 10 student James Checketts and has been a great success. I have had the great joy of helping teach young Logan Parkers about the Joy of Computing. Even though we live in the year 2015 a surprising amount of people are computer illiterate, even young people who should know better.

Saying this, it is refreshing to be involved with youngsters so eager to learn about the majesty of computer sciences.

This year has been an absolute joy and I hope that the Logan Park Computer Club can carry on for many years more.
