This year the girls' football season was much shorter than usual spanning only 5 weeks of Term 3.

We had 18 girls participate this year, all of whom showed passion and determination when on the field. We finished top of our division which was a great success with many new players this year. The team was lucky enough to secure training time on the new Dunedin Football turf each week and even had a special training session led by Football South’s Women’s Development Officer Tessa Nicol which taught some awesome tips and tricks for the team. We also had the pleasure to compete in the Girls' Football Winter Tournament here in Dunedin where the team was playing two games a day. Over the three days the team's skills advanced greatly and we finished 12th overall. This year we also bid farewell to co-captains Maggie and Mae who have made significant contributions to football in their time at Logan Park - all the best! Next year's season is looking positive and I hope to see you all back for a full season of mud, rain and fun!
