The 2024 season for LPHS Girls Football has been one of development and success.

Plenty of talented young players have joined the side this year, as well as some strong veteran seniors carrying on. A roaring start to the season saw us take two good wins over South Otago and Bayfield before the seasonal sicknesses kicked in and numbers in the team dwindled. However, the team stood their ground against some tough opponents and never backed down.

We finished the season with the Lotto Sportswear tournament held in Dunedin. With some performance highs and close losses, the team managed to clinch the 15th/16th placing match and beat South Otago 2-0 to place 15th out of 20 teams - the best we’ve achieved in a long time. Congratulations to everyone in the team, a big thanks to our Assistant Coach Ryan Duder, and a special farewell to our leading seniors Sylvia Baeumer, Hannah Hogan (tournament MVP), and Aurora Bettis.
