Orokonui Ecosanctuary class visit.
In October 9Q were lucky enough to have Sam from Orokonui Ecosanctuary visit.
Sam shared with us the importance of the invertebrates in our ecosystems. He brought a selection on animals for us to meet including a beautiful tunnel web spider. These spiders are commonly found in our garden and while they are big and quite fierce looking they are actually quiet and non-aggressive. He also introduced us to a rather large female stick insect.
