Although several talented senior players left last year, it has been great to see keen, beginner junior players coming along to play in the warmth of the Westpac Bowls Centre over winter and the future of bowls at LPHS looks very promising.

Hamish McKinlay and Bradley Yates (pairs), Jonty Horwell (singles), and Naomi Ashby-Ryan & Ruby Harris all played well to qualify in October for the National Secondary Champs in Auckland in December. 

Jonty Horwell competed in the Otago Indoor Bowls Championship this year and is now the the Junior Singles U18 Otago Champion.  

Jonty also made the South Island U25 team for Outdoor Bowls.
