This year’s Senior girls badminton team was made up by Shima Jack, Maia Jack, Maria Hessel, and myself, April McMillan Perkins.

Although we had a short season we were able to work on many skills and trained with each other regularly. The team improved when it came to things like coordination, and we took any losses well and kept a good spirit about our games. The main event of the season was the Co-ed winter tournament! We had a few practices with our male and female partners before the big tournament, and got in a player from another Logan Park team, Lucy Riepl. (Thank you!) Although we didn’t come first, we were barely a hair behind the winning school and we made such a great effort. Everyone in the Seniors girls team put in so much effort this year to have great games, and they made sure to have fun with it too. So I am glad that I was able to have a great final season with such an amazing team.

Logan Park had over 30 girls playing badminton. Our junior A team played in Div 1/2 and even though it was challenging they all significantly improved.
