Library Transforms into Fairytale Kingdom

Andrew Spittle —

A forest den featuring an actual wolf, a series of themed displays covering everything from Alice's rabbit hole to Japanese fairy tales, shredded books in jars, a costume parade, guessing the eclectic reading choices of staff, a scavenger hunt, spine poetry and a literature quiz: library week had it all!

An absolute feast for the senses, the transformation of the library into a fantastical wonderland this week was a sight to behold, thanks to the efforts of super-librarian Liz James and her elite squadron of student librarians. That the very same space had been, just days before, a hub of mathematical bustle for the Senior O'Mathalon is a testament to the versatility and flexibility of both the library and its human wranglers. Well done to all!

A special congratulation to Anya McKinney, who won the Character Costume Parade for the second year in a row, and to runner up, Micel Madill.
