The Enviro club at LPHS is very excited to announce that we were granted over $3000 from the Waste minimisation fund from the DCC this year, to help reduce our waste that goes to landfill.

The application process is extensive and our students had to provide a lot of information to the DCC to qualify for the grant. We are looking forward to setting up two composts as well as stations around school where compost and recycling will be collected to take it out for the general waste stream. To get a really good idea of the difference we can make we will undertake a Waste Audit at the beginning of June to see what we generate at our school.
