Careers
Students who are at secondary school and want to learn some practical, hands-on skills that will help them get a job can learn at the Otago Secondary Tertiary College (OSTC).
They spend one or two days a week at OSTC and the rest of the week at school as usual. They can gain NCEA credits while also gaining real-world, practical experience in a chosen industry. For many students this will help them get on the right career path after finishing school.
This year 11 students were enrolled in various part time courses such as Automotive, Construction and Cookery. They recently had an end of course graduation at the Otago Polytechnic / Te Pūkenga.
