Amber Moffat held a writers and illustrators workshop at Logan Park High School in June.

Amber, a previous Art and English teacher at LPHS is an author and illustrator based in Western Australia.

Back in NZ to launch her new book I Would Dangle the Moon, Amber discussed the processes involved in publishing, how to employ technology as a drawing tool and why story-boarding is important to the pace and ‘reading’ of a picture book. Students then heard a piece from her newest young adult novel before responding to this text as an illustrator or author. The room had an engaged and creative buzz throughout the workshop and it will be exciting to see the ripples of this event as it inspires a new generation of creatives. http://ambermoffat.com/
