Senior Drama students were lucky enough to meet two professional theatre artists who were in town to perform at the Dunedin Fringe Festival.

On Thursday, 23 March, Steven Ray came to perform part of his one man show Title and Deed and talk with our year 12 and 13 students about the piece, about the work they are doing in Drama and about some of his experiences working in theatre, film and television throughout New Zealand for five decades. Our students enjoyed his performance and meeting and talking with him, some going to see his performance in its entirety at the Fringe performance the next evening.

On Friday, 24 March, Hamish Annan gave two workshops for our year 13 students. The workshops were based on the work he is doing with his award winning interactive fringe performance, exploring working with physicality and breath to connect with emotions for performance, a great opportunity to look at different ways of preparing for performance and accessing emotion.

We were delighted to have these two fabulous theatre practitioners visit LPHS.
