2022 was a great year for the Logan Park Choir. We had a bit of a rough start, as due to COVID regulations our rehearsals had to take place outside. Regardless, we continued singing, learning and perfecting songs as we constructed a repertoire for the Big Sing Regional Competition.

Our choir sang wonderfully at the Big Sing, and from there were selected to compete in Timaru at the Big Sing Cadenza. Over the next couple of months we worked hard to learn an additional song and prepare for the next step in the competition.

Cadenza was an incredible experience for us all. We were able to listen to all the talented choirs from across the South Island. But we also got the opportunity to attend workshops with the amazing and highly experienced Elise Bradley, who taught us many valuable skills and techniques to enhance our singing. Our choir did our best and came away with a Bronze Award. 

We had heaps of fun on our trip away and look forward to seeing some new faces come along next year!
