Students have been involved in everything from dodgeball, football, waterpolo to sailing and orienteering.

Highlights:
Shae Moore continues to shine in representative football and will travel to Ireland in July with the Otago United team for the SuperCup NI 2016 (formerly known as the Milk Cup). 

Cricket Captain David Spencer scored an unbeaten 200 runs in the last Cricket game of the season against King's. The team were placed second overall in the Premier League of the Secondary Cricket Competition.

In Orienteering Alice McNoe is the Senior Girls Champion in the Dunedin Schools' Summer Series.  

Jonty Howell continues to dominate in Bowls, competing in the South Island Secondary Schools' Singles in April in Christchurch.  He was named Top Male Player of the Tournament. In Sailing, Molly Barton and Anna Walrond competed in the South Island Secondary Schools Sunburst Regatta in the Silver Division and impressed with their tenacity, coming second.

The lunchtime Dodgeball House Competition continues to be popular. Our Student Sports Council has organised the event and Houses are competing for House points. Francine Vella and a number of senior students are coaching Dunedin North Intermediate School teams in basketball and hockey. Thanks to David Spencer, Grant McNaughton, Izzy and Mary Locker, Jesse McKersey and Reuben Campbell for your commitment and enthusiasm.

Our Senior A Girls Volleyball team came 7th in the Otago Champs and attended the South Island Satellite Tournament in Christchurch in April, placing 13th overall. The team improved dramatically from last season. Thanks to Ms Frost for her excellent coaching and parents for their support.

Planning is well underway for the Year 12 and 13 Sporting Leadership Exchange to Kingaroy, Brisbane in September. Our school has had a reciprocal relationship with Kingaroy High School for over 16 years and we're looking forward the competition on the sports field as well as the visits to Queensland Theme Parks after the exchange.

Other highlights from the Summer Sports season:In Tennis, Dylan Deans-Bennett and David Spencer made the final of the Premier Tennis League and play their final on Thursday 14 April. Three senior Futsal teams will compete in finals on Thursday 14 April. In Volleyball, both senior boys and girls teams have won the Senior Social divisions. Junior volleyball teams have played well this season, winning most of their games.In Waterpolo our teams played off for third place in the Dunedin competition. And in Athletics, Jacob Gosling was third in the shot put in the Otago Southland finals, after having won the Otago title in March.Students are looking forward to winter sports next term.  Thanks to all the teachers, coaches, parents  and students for your on-going support with sport at Logan Park.
