Reva Grills won the Rotary 4-Way Speech competition with Grant McNaughton coming second.

Reva went on to win the Otago-Southland Final in May. Reva had to apply Rotary's 4-way rule to her topic. She spoke on the importance of Race Unity and Harmony and had to show that it was: the truth, fair to all concerned and would build good will and better friendships and would be beneficial to humanity. She spoke passionately and powerfully about the importance of tolerance and inclusion.
