As part of the Year 12 Physical Education programme students completed achievement standard 2.6 "Evaluate leadership strategies that contribute to the effective functioning of a group". 

As part of this, students taught their class peers, junior students and then visited North East Valley Primary School where they coached 6 different groups of 25 primary students for the day. The Year 12 planned their day in advance then coached, then reflected on what worked well for them and their group. The students turned up a little nervous for their first session, but as the day progressed they developed confidence and the NEV students loved their sports day. These are valuable experiences for our young leaders.
