LPHS Netball has had a great season this year.

Logan Park Development Team.

Instead of having a senior A netball team this year, Logan Park had a Development team. The team was hard working and focused. My favorite parts of the season would have to be the tournaments. Even though we were clearly one of the weakest teams, the team never gave up and continued to play to the best of our ability. Over the season, we learnt a bunch of new skills from our coach Paige, who was always positive and made the season very enjoyable. The team had a few wins along the way and competing in two tournaments, overall being a fun season and created some great memories.

Logan Park Maroon Netball Team.

The LPHS maroon team had a rollercoaster of a season, having combined 2 teams into one after 3 games. Although we never had a practice with everyone there, the whole team showed massive improvement throughout the season. A highlight of the season would had been the final game, playing off for first and second against St Hilda’s. After playing a close game, the team played good sportsmanship by congratulating the winning team. The season overall was a bunch of fun. Only losing two games and showing goods sportsmanship and positivity through the netball season.

Logan Park Senior B Netball Team

Sammy Donaldson Year 13

My favorite part of being in this year’s Senior B netball team was meeting all the new team members and also Development and Senior B teams practiced together. I always had fun and a laugh there.

What I learnt was how to be a reliable team member. So making sure I came to practices, events and games. I am very bad at forgetting when things were and so this year I got better at remembering.

This year Senior B got into the final top 4. During the final we worked so well together that by the end of the game both teams were tired and we had to go over time. At the end of the match we lost 18-20 but we were happy with 4th place because we didn’t believe we could get there.

Overall I had a great season and I loved my team and coach Paige.

Logan park Gold Netball team

This year’s Netball season was really well played. The Gold team faced some challenging games but we played hard and had fun. One of our highlights this season would have been winning our grade and being able to play the semifinals for the grade above us. It was a massive achievement for us to win our grade and we were very pleased with that. This season all of us picked up on some things that we learnt/needed to work on. We had some pointers for warming up the right way so we didn’t injure ourselves and some of the team. Overall it was a great season with lots of encouragement, fun and motivation from the sideline supporters and coach.
