Open Days Successful

Arnika Hazelwood —

We enjoyed showcasing the school during Open Days in July.

200 Year 8 students visited Logan Park on Friday 28 July and over 500 people visited the school during our Open Morning on Sunday 30 July.  Student guides took individual family groups around the 30 stations.

Our award winning Rock Bands, Carmina and Painted Blind performed in the Auditorium at the start of the day and then Jasper Seddon, Sophie Bradfield, Emma Samuels and Oscar McGuire shared their experiences along with a few words from Mr Hills and Ms Mouat.

Members of the Board and PSTA were also on site to answer questions. Students and teachers  took great pride in displaying their particular subject areas and passions.   Prospective students were able to see the whole school campus and experience the wide, diverse opportunities available for everyone.

On our Friday Open Morning we hosted Year 8 students who were entertained with a stunning Music Concert featuring Melicen Barber and Mathew Schack as well as Painted Blind and Carmina.  Students also experienced mini-lessons in PE/Sports, Science, Food and Fabric Technology, Languages and Drama/Dance.

Thanks to everyone in our school community for all the hard work, enthusiasm and energy required for Open Days.
