Many a Monday evening during Terms 1 and 4 was spent challenging the elements on Otago Harbour. A keen group of sailors honed skills in water safety, racing, capsizing and water fighting.

Conditions varied from the very calm and warm to the very windy and cold. Not to be deterred, the group including Eden Feint, Kyle Cuthbertson, Oliver Eden-Mann, Mathew  Scadden, Caitlyn Kilner, Philipp Waibel, Frances Barnett, Oliver Molteno, Harrison Starkey, Sofia Cucchetti, Ian  Kelly-Hendrick, Fraser Braid, Conor Montague, Anna Hareter, Clara Ballas was eager to hit the high seas.

One highlight of the year was the South Island Secondary Schools Sunburst Regatta. Francis Barnett and Kyle Cuthbertson sailed consistently well to take out the Read Marine Trophy for the non-spinnaker division. The strength of young sailors in year 9 & 10 bodes well for future competitive sailing at Logan Park.
