Futsal in 2018 has seen another large group of junior and senior Logan Park students getting involved.

Some solid results came early on for our juniors in Term 1, with our top junior boys team, led by John Major, playing off for 3rd and 4th position in the top division and our junior girls side, led by Mary Yeardley also playing off for the same positions.

Our senior boys entered into the futsal nationals in Wellington again this year, and had a tricky pool with St Bede’s and final winners Wellington College. Holding Wellington off in the second half of our game against them was one of our highlights and showed us the value of team work. We finished 27/34 but are confident with more practice we will improve our standings.

In Term 3, our seniors played in a three week competition with two games a night. We also had our top junior girls side enter the senior competition and place second in their division, showing great determination and a lot of promise for their future performances. We have six junior teams entered in the 4th Term competition, so our numbers continue to be fantastic.

A big thank you to parents and players for their commitments this year with futsal. We look forward to continuing with our successes.
