Surf Life Saving
Annie Kennedy-Atchison continues to excel at surf life saving.
Annie, Year 11, had a busy summer training for her first major Senior Surf Life Saving competitions with St Clair Surf Life Saving Club.
Over Waitangi weekend Annie competed in the Otago Regional Championships at Kaka Point and won the individual U16 Ski Race, and won Gold in the overall Blue Riband U19 Ironman Event (ski, board and swim). She was also third in the U16 Board Race and placed first in all team events including Board Relay, Ski Relay, Taplin and Double Ski.
Over the following six weeks, Annie competed in the Southern Region Championships and trained for the Nationals in mid-March.
She also won the White Island Race in October.
Annie competed for the St Clair Surf Life Saving Club and won the race which included a 5 kilometre return route on rescue boards, surf skis and surf canoes.
