Congratulations to our Year 13 Senior Science Team who won the Otago Senior Science Quiz in June.

The quiz covered wide-ranging science knowledge and two practical skills tests. Our team of Ahi Kaitai-Mullane, Tarren Loughran, Alice McNoe and Louis Whitburn impressed in all 5 sections, comfortably winning the trophy.

The quiz covered Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth and Space sections. There were challenging practical sections and experiments including a titration as well as a physics experiment to work out the density of a nail using a ruler, 50g weight, measuring calipers and a stand. 

Tarren plans to study Science at university, Louis wants to study Science and IT, Ahi plans to do Science and Drama and Alice is also planning to be a Scientist.
