On Wednesday November 1st we celebrated our Senior Prizegiving in the gym.

Fletcher Melville went as part of the Southland Scholastics Surfing team to the 2023 National Scholastics Surfing Championships, held up in Gisborne during the September school holidays.

We had our Media Film Night in October where students showed off their hard work and got to enjoy watching each others films.

During week 7 of Term 3 a group of budding problem solvers from Year 9 - 11 sat the ICAS Maths competition.

Logan Park High School was well represented this year for the annual Celebrate Design Secondary Schools Award Exhibition at Te Pūkenga (Otago Polytechnic).

In Week 2 of Term 4, the LPHS Orchestra performed in both assemblies.

We had two year 13 entries from Fabric Technology this year in the HETTANZ Fashion Awards, a national competition.

Our six French students who are going to New Caledonia next year in October are busy fundraising for this exciting event.

Adrian and Chloe from the Bachelor of Culinary Arts programme at Te Pūkenga (Otago Polytechnic) presented a food styling dessert presentation session for the Year 13 Hospitality students in Term Four.

To conclude their time at LPHS, the Music Prefects presented an evening concert in Manawa Toi Whakaari in Term 4, featuring a number of LPHS musical acts.

On Tuesday 19 September Dr Dominic Searles, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Otago, came to LPHS to give a talk about the Mathematics of Private Communication.

Towards the end of Term Three, Year 9 and 10 Japanese classes, together with Year 9 French and Year 10 Te Reo Māori, celebrated spring with our annual Hanami picnic.

The annual senior art exhibitions were held in late October this year.

On the 23rd of September LPHS students took part in the last Otepoti climate action by attending the Climate vote festival.

On Wednesday the 25th of November many LPHS juniors attended the Dunedin-wide Itinerant Music Teacher workshop day, held at Queen's and King's High Schools.
