Our Houses enjoyed exciting activities at their respective beaches in February.

Senior School Prefects, House leaders, Sports Prefects and Prefects / Leaders of clubs were announced early in Term One.

After the secondary schools triathlon success on Thursday 16th of February, a group headed back to Wanaka, Friday lunch time.

On Thursday 16th February five Logan Park teams travelled to Glendu Bay in Wanaka to compete in the Challenge Wanaka Otago Secondary School Triathlon Championships.

The senior Fabric Technology students started the year strongly.

The Level 3 Yr 13 Physical Education students visited the University of Otago’s School of Physical Education, Sport and Exercise Sciences department in February.

As we know food plays such an important role in our lives and tells us a lot about different cultures. That is why we started our culture club this year again with a shared lunch and we had a great variety of delicious treats ranging from Klepons from Indonesia to Baos from China as well as delicious Sushi and shortbread.

On Wednesday 15th February two Logan Park teams competed in the Secondary School Teams Tennis Tournament held in Dunedin.

Well done to Fletcher Melville in the Otago Surfing Championships at the beginning of the year.

A month too late – but our French classes all had a taste of the delicious Galette des Rois – at the beginning of February instead on the actual date of 6 January.

We welcomed all our new students and 11 new staff on Thursday 2 February.

Year 9 Design and Visual Communication students started the course with a creative exercise designing their name.
