Funky Monkey Underground Radio Show

Five of our Year 10 students have turned their quirky humour and banter into an hour of free-form radio comedy, courtesy of Otago Access Radio's Youth Zone programming initiative.

Their show has grown from a 30 minute format to an hour, and the team have had to develop stronger planning skills. According to Quinn Hardie, "We play good songs and have some interesting talk - that's interesting in quote marks - but it will probably be a bit more structured now."
Other young people aged 8-22 years can find out more about free training and airtime on Youth Zone by contacting the station's Youth Co-ordinator Domi Angelo-Laloli at youthzone@oar.org.nz or phone 471 6161. Funky Monkey Underground airs every second Tuesday at 4pm on OAR 105.4FM and 1575AM or podcast from www.oar.org.nz
