Environmental Studies Field Trip
Year 11 Environmental Studies students enjoyed their field trip to Mount Cook in early May.
The photo shows students sitting on the moraine of the rapidly receding Tasman glacier. Teacher John Dixon is pointing out glacial features and how they are formed. The students are sketching the landscape.
In the background is Lake Tasman with the glacier in the distance. Note also several tourists also enjoyed learning more, and thanked us afterwards for sharing the knowledge!!!
