Year 13 Geography Beach Visit by Michelle Summerfield

Year 13 Geography Beach Visit

The Year 13 Geography class visited St Clair and Tomahawk beaches on Wednesday the 15th of March to assist in the data collection for an internal, regarding beach profiles, longitudinal drift and erosion.

We started the day at St Clair, measuring beach profiles, and working in our groups using oranges and apples to measure longitudinal drift, doing the same at Tomahawk beach later in the day, with a small coffee break in between! The year 13’s gained a lot from this trip, now having our valuable data ensuring we all achieved well in our first year 13 Geography internal.

Thank you to Ms Summerfield and Ms Daly for making sure the day ran smoothly!
