Logan Park completed a very successful season, losing only two games in twelve matches and winning the Secondary School’s Premier Reserve Grade for Saturday afternoon play.
Captain Kieran Graham completed nearly seven years of playing for the school by holding the trophy aloft, scoring a 50 not out in the last game against OBHS and having his long term team mate Alex Parkes at the other end as he hit the winning last runs for the last game of the season.
Two weeks earlier another highlight was achieved when the team were invited to play on the hallowed ground of University Oval which resulted in a one sided power win against a Kings Colts team.
With a squad of 16 players including four Year 9s there is great depth and talent left in the side to develop further over the next few years.
We sadly also farewell Kieran’s mother Mal who has been the assistant manager of the team and official scorer for over seven years as she has seen her daughter Laura and then Kieran play chase that elusive cricket ball. Mal’s enthusiasm, dedication, humour, and biscuits will be greatly missed.
