Otago Secondary Schools Music Festival
The 46th annual Otago Secondary Schools Music Festival was held at the Dunedin Town Hall on the evening of Monday 7th September.
Members of LPHS's choir, orchestra and jazz band joined students from other secondary schools throughout the region to form massed groups, and celebrate youth music in a wide variety of forms. There were several small group items included in the programme including the winning groups of the regional Rockquest, Big Sing and Chamber Music competition. A highlight produced by our students was the energetic and inspired performance of an LPHS jazz combo of year 13 Music students (Bryn McKerracher, Mitchell Innes, Tim Copland and Max Scott), who provided entertainment in the Town Hall foyer during the interval.
