Get 2 Go Challenge Otago/Southland Region
The Get 2 Go Challenge adventure race for Yr 9/10 students is run by Hillary Outdoors each year.
This year we came 10th out of 23 schools in the Otago/Southland area. We were first in our section of six teams. The race was won by Mt Aspiring College. Not much separates the top 10 schools. The race is about much more than just getting the most points. Students had fun and their big smiles seldom disappeared throughout the day.
Our teams ability to work together and encourage each other saw us take out the problem solving section, kayak section and mountain bike section in our grouping of six teams. The team was Joseph Dewhirst, Jim Pearson, Theo Molteno, Calum Roger, Mary Locker, Zoe Degas, Annie Kennedy-Atchison and Abby Barton.
