Hockey - Girls

At the end of August was the New Zealand Hockey Secondary Schools Tournament, held in Greymouth. Two teams from Logan Park took the eight hour road trip up, one boys team, and one girls team. We stayed for a week and played hockey every day.

It was a tough competition but very fun and we all enjoyed our time there. We also went on day trips to places like Punakaiki (pancake rocks) and hokitika, in our time between games. On the last full day we were there, we even went to the Greymouth Pools before the girls last game.

The boys had very entertaining games and ended up coming first place in tier four boys! A massive congratulations to them!

The girls had a super fun time and really improved our teamwork and game skills! Unfortunately we didn't end up placing in the top three. A massive thanks to CJ for stepping in as a wonderful goalie!

In conclusion, everyone played very well! It was a great experience and it helped our teams bond and build stronger relationships with each other and our coaches. We are hoping to go again next year!
