Get 2 Go Challenge by Frankie Vella

Junior Get 2 Go Challenge

On a chilly spring day in September two Logan Park teams headed out for a day of adventure racing.

There were 20 teams from around Otago/Southland. Spirits were high with a few Beatles songs sung on route. Our first event, Problem Solving involved building the highest tower made from jenga blocks after going through a series of challenges. Logan Park 2 had the highest tower overall - well done.

We then moved on to the kayaking challenge. The weather managed to hold. Check out the photos to see the fun that was had. Following the kayaking both teams jumped in the vehicles and set off for Signal Hill to compete in Mountain biking followed by Orienteering.

The weather changed with steady rain making for fun muddy conditions.

Overall Logan Park teams had a fun day. Out of the 20 teams Logan Park 2 placed 5th and Logan Park 1 placed 7th.

Big thanks to our wonderful parent helpers who coped with wet muddy students. Teams: Logan Park 1: Caitlin McDonald Waters, Madeline Simons, Amelia James-Pirie, Hannah Yeardley, Nic James-Pirie, Liam Black, Jonathan Dubyk, Bill Campbell

Logan Park 2: Maddie Hannah, Eva Woodhouse, Cora Chapman, Zoe Barton, Nic Butler, Kerian Black, Oe Heyward, Ethan Lambeth.
