Learning and Support Department connecting to Community

In Term Two the Learning and Support Department have been lending a hand to The Salvation Army each Wednesday afternoon where they helped sort, price and label the many items coming into the Salvation Army store. It was a great opportunity to give back to the community.

The boys also took on sewing large quantities of Wheat Bags for the Salvation Army to distribute to needy families who are needing warming up on Dunedin's chilly winter nights.

The class also really enjoyed working with Jade and his group of volunteers from the Foundation Studies Course at Otago Polytech. Jade's team assisted the boys in Mask Making and the class really enjoyed working with these older, enthusiastic and patient students. We have been really lucky to have them on board.
