We heard in October that Oscar McGuire, Class Act 2017 achieved 5 NZQA Scholarships.

Oscar was also awarded a Classics Scholarship after his paper was reconsidered. So he achieved Scholarships in Drama, Media Studies, History, Classics as well as an Outstanding Scholarship in English.

NZQA Scholarships are awarded to the top 2-5% of candidates nationally. Oscar is currently doing an LLB/BA majoring in Law, Politics and English at Auckland University this year.

The latest news takes our 2017 Scholarship total to 29.  

New Zealand Scholarship, regarded as the most prestigious secondary school academic award in the country, extends the very best students and offers financial rewards for those going on to full-time tertiary study in New Zealand.
