The day that all girls look forward to. You spend the whole day getting ready. Making sure you have everything. The hair, the make-up, the shoes, the bag, the accessories, the dress. Everything has to be perfect and as the Formal Committee it was our job to make sure the whole occasion went off without a hitch.

Logan Park can justly be proud of our top senior debating team, which was placed second in the 2014 Dunedin Schools’ Debating competition.

Students at Logan Park High School are encouraged to explore, watch, research and interpret an array of genres within the realms of theatre.

Two ex-students came back to school to share their experiences on the international stage.

Year 12 student Meran Campbell-Hood won the overall Otago Science and Technology Fair, Best in Fair Award for her display, "North by North-West."  

Jacobi Kohu-Morris was invited to be the guest speaker at the NZ First conference in Auckland in July. 

Our school thinks our change to wood pellets is worth it for the environment.

In Basketball, Jaren Roy has been selected for the New Zealand Under 17 team training camp in Timaru 21-24 August.

Connor Seddon and Mathew Denys were presented their ODT Class Act Awards, celebrating Excellence by Prime Minister John Key. 

On Monday 11 August, three Logan Park students competed in the regional semi-finals of the New Zealand Spelling Bee. 

Logan Park is a school that includes a diverse range of nationalities. Besides our ESOL students we have a growing number of students who were born overseas and have now chosen New Zealand in which to settle. They come from countries such as China, Thailand, Vietnam, Ethiopia, India and Brazil.

The first week of term was a busy one with a group of 19 Wakamatsu students from Japan visiting the school. A group of students from Wakamatsu visit each year, but this was one of the larger groups we've had recently. 

This term we have had 11 new international students join us at Logan Park High School.

On Wednesday 25th of June our van with eight international and four Kiwi students from Logan Park set off to Wanaka on an organised ski trip to Cardrona. 

We enjoyed showcasing our school on Open Morning and Open Day during Term 2.

Congratulations to our wonderful school librarian Jenny Millar who was awarded Honorary Life Membership of SLANZA — School Library Association of New Zealand Aoteroa, Te Puna Whare Matauranga a Kura. 

Logan Park High School did very well in the Dunedin Secondary Schools Poetry Competition, with 5 out of 8 of the 'places' (highly commended included) going to our school.

Karaoke Week was the bomb! It was held in the last week of Term 2. We had lots of fantastic acts and entertainment.
