Open MorningDrama Games by Andrea McSweeney

Open Days

We enjoyed showcasing many of the diverse, creative and inspirational aspects of our school to Year 8 students and their whanau in the first week of Term 3.

On Friday 24 July we hosted 260 Year 8 students from many schools for an Open Morning of music, languages, physical education, clubs, quizzes, technology, drama and science. The aim was to provide a taster for some of the subjects and opportunities available at our school.

On Sunday 26 July we had hundreds of families attend our Open Day. Our Principal, Jane Johnson and Board Chairperson, Dr Ruth Barnett spoke, along with Head Boy and Girl, Jacobi Kohu-Morris and Frances Barnett, and Year 9 students Matai Bowen and Annie Kennedy-Atchison. Families were then given personalised guided tours with our current students of the school, curriculum stations and the many sporting, cultural and academic opportunities available to everyone.

A number of families commented on the quality and diversity of the musical talent everywhere. Thanks to all of our students who volunteered as guides, musicians and on curriculum stations. Thanks to our talented staff, PTSA members and the Board for all your efforts and obvious pride in displaying our school.
